First look at Templesmith interiors revealed
Eisner Award nominated artist Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night, Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse, Fell) will join the team as interior artist on James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds’ bestselling thriller series The Department of Truth for an all-new story arc. This savage new chapter will begin next month with The Department of Truth #36 out from Image Comics.
“Ben is actually one of the first-ever artists we dreamed of inviting to do a guest story arc of The Department of Truth way back when the series launched, so it’s thrilling to have him on this story that’s millions of years in the making,” said Tynion. “He’s been a natural fit for our messed-up little world and we can’t wait for readers to see what we’ve been building these last few months. Not only will we be digging up the buried history of one of the Department’s legacy families, we’ll also be revealing the evangelical origins of Charity, the deadliest new member of Lee’s crew. Also dinosaurs. Lots of dinosaurs.”
Templesmith added: “I am that child you shouldn’t give scissors to, because I’m clearly going to run around with them. But it’s hellishly fun to run around with what James and Martin have done with The Department of Truth and let me have a little go. It’s been a blast!”
In the early ’90s, cable TV is king and something ancient is watching from the static. Only Hunky—the reclusive son of the field office’s very first hunter—takes its threat seriously. And when Hunky notices primordial evil brewing at an evangelical theme park in the Florida Everglades, he may be the only one who can save the beautiful young woman named Charity caught in the middle of it all…
