LIMITED CELEBRATION VARIANTS OF THE LEGENDARY CROSSOVER EVENT WITH MARVEL AT WWW.BILLYTUCCI.COM
A quarter-century ago one extraordinary crossover event shook the comics’ world… an unlikely partnering between industry leader, Marvel Comics and rising independent publisher, Crusade Comics. The result was the extraordinary Wolverine/Shi: Dark Night of Judgment #1.
Wolverine/Shi: DNoJ #1 is a no-holds-barred, collision of steel, adamantium and two universes that launched the Battlebooks comic book/gaming system that saw Marvel’s most popular mutant, go toe-to-toe with Billy Tucci’s Sohei warrior in a battle for life and death that transcended continents, universes and time.
Now for the very first and only time in over 25-years, Crusade Comics is releasing a special Silver Anniversary celebration issue commemorating this epic event. Created by Inkpot recipients Beau Smith and Billy Tucci with inks by Rich Perrotta and colors by Atomic Paintbrush, Wolverine/Shi #1 thrusts the reader onto the burning, battle strewn streets of Tokyo. Wolverine questions the judgment and perhaps lost goals of Ana Ishikawa (Shi) that have placed her in a situation most desperate. Questions that inflame an already internal wound of the soul that Ana is fighting within herself.

The overused term, “battle to the death,” has become tired and worn out. The battle that Tucci and Smith inject Wolverine and Shi into deals with more than the bloodshed of a physical plane. It delves into the souls of these two warriors of legend as they fight for more than just life. They battle for the right to die on their own terms. This prequel of the I gaming series set the stage for only one to walk away.
And only one will.
