A weekend of Comics, Pop Culture, and Fandom

The second-longest-running comic convention in the nation, ITHACON, is set to return to Ithaca, New York, for another exciting weekend celebrating comics, pop culture, and fandom. Hosted by the Comic Book Club of Ithaca, ITHACON 2026 will take place on April 25th & 26th at Ithaca College, bringing together fans, creators, and industry professionals from around the country.

Now in its 49th year, ITHACON has established itself as a beloved community tradition, offering attendees the chance to meet renowned comic book artists and writers, explore a diverse range of exhibitors, and engage in panels and workshops covering everything from superhero storytelling to the latest trends in pop culture.

The weekend-long comic event is run by the Ithaca College students taking Promoting and Managing ITHACON. Led by Professor Ed Catto, this unique course brings together students from widely differing disciplines to take on a project unlike any other. Putting on ITHACON is an extraordinary group effort with teams of students organizing every detail of the event, whether it’s social media, guest coordination, or registration.

This year’s event will feature interactive activities such as cosplay contests and family-friendly programming. Attendees can browse through a wide array of vendors offering vintage comic books, collectibles, original artwork, and more. Publishers on hand this year include Dynamite, Ahoy Comics, and A Wave Blue World. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in cosplay sketching of live models.

Ticket information, registration, and special guest announcements for ITHACON will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets and more information are available at www.ithacon.org
