By now you’ve heard all about the offering from Mattel. It’s all over the internet.
But, I’m finding myself struggling as to what to write here.
Let me just be blunt. The entire thing was just one huge disappointment.
First off, the room the packed us in had no ventilation at all. It was hotter than hell in there. They could have put us in a better room. I just don’t get it.
Then they gave all of us 30 minutes to take pictures. That was just unorganized chaos. Everyone trying to get pictures. I got pushed a couple of times. That was fun.
Next, Scott Neitlich spoke to the crowd, and for the love a God, I could not hear a thing he said.
And then the topper, ending the run of DC Universe Collectibles is more Super Powers crap. Wow. What a way to just drive into the ground.
Mattel should take a cue from Hasbro or Playmates in how they show their products off. Something more structured and organized instead of herding the press like cattle.
Anyhow, here are the pics I took.
