The more I read about these Djinn, the more I dislike them! The opposite is true of Chas! He is brilliant!

It sounds like the Djinn have been douchebags from the very start, the biblical start and they haven’t mellowed in the slightest, no wonder John is so worried about them. To make matters worse Swamp Thing is too hurt to help them any longer and after clearing up how plants go to the toilet for Chas and the obligatory warning about Constantine he returns to the green to recover leaving Mercury, Chas and Constantine to uncover the Djinns plot.

Chas is a man after my own heart, his views in vegetarianism were my favourite part of this issue but it looks like John is not letting him continue any further and trying to keep him out of danger. Before John can consider going up against the Djinn he has to win over an even more dangerous opponent Mercury.

Despite herself and knowing full well what Johns up to Mercury cant help but get charmed over by Constantine and his three secrets ‘trust’ exercise and takes him to see her mother (his ex-lover) and reveals some home truths that John doesn’t like to admit and even though he brushes it aside I think she got through to him.

I love Swamp Thing and Constantine working together, both have really sarcastic humour and seem to like to do things a certain way just to illicit a reaction. I also love the reintroduction of Mercury and her mum from way back at the very start of Constantines comic history
