John’s plans are afoot, well a shoe at least.
Chasing a magical flying shoe across Paris leads John and Mercury stranded by Misabel in a rather dodgy area and they quickly realize that she has differing ideas about finding the book. John and Mercury try tracking the book down via bookshops but can’t seem to get the description across properly or it could be that the owners work for Misabel and are deliberately being obtuse
Back in Blighty and Mr. Carters day isn’t going too well either with votes not going his way (yet) and even his relaxing trip to the opiate den is very rudely interrupted by the Djinn with a proposal that rocks Mr. Carter to the very core and shows just how far he is willing to go to protect himself!
It looks like Constantine is being played by Misabel while the Djinns plans seem to be coming together perfectly will John and Mercury be able to stop him in time?
