Ever want to see a Panda fight a Ninja?
Well now’s your chance! Independent comic book artist/writer Jason Dube has released “Panda Days” #5.
“Panda Days” features a young blonde woman named Panda who acts as an avatar of sorts for a great Panda spirit. She can summon Panda warriors at any given moment. However, she is randomly attacked by ninjas that seem to come from nowhere.
Mix this with Panda’s unusual friends and you have the makings for a unique and fun story.
Dube’s style is bombastic and kinetic with a narrative that derails from a traditional direction but jumps from one person to another and another.
Where Dube really shows his talent is his artwork. His anime-meets-western-traditional style has garnered a strong and devoted following.
I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing Dube’s work in the past and it is great to share his work here. I have said he is California’s best kept secret and this is one secret that needs to be shared.
