Fear and panic. Dread and regret. So little joy in the midst of all these emotions.
The emotions a malevolent force, Raven can only call “the thing”, feed on to become strong enough to devour her city, then her world, and finally, everything.
Raven tries everything in her power to stop people from flocking into “the thing” and feeding it, making it strong enough to destroy and consume everything in its path, to no avail. Less that a speed bump, Raven is distraught and wonders if it can get any worse when her cousin shows up and things get MUCH worse. Can Raven defeat this entity? And more importantly, will she remain herself if she does it?
With a single issue remaining in the 6 issue series I can only imagine the mayhem that will ensue. A great plot, powerful villain, and a strong cast of characters have brought this series to life and really shown what Raven is capable of on her own without the Titans. A great read and a well-done series really driving in just how good Rebirth has been, and what potential it has to develop into maybe the best reboot of classic and new age characters I have seen yet.
