Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters Time! IDW brings a new series of an old movie of Ghostbusters, but now it’s Ghostbusters 101 which becomes a vivid definition of supernatural beings and a lot of action coming from the movie to this comic book.

In the first issue, it shows some character list which will make the readers to get to know the characters and some details of what the story is about. Even though, there are students of 101 who’s willing to become professional Ghostbusters. These students are trained well, whether they allow to start hunting ghosts. But these kids are still in the noob level, they wouldn’t what’s going to be out there in the real world, where ghosts flies around the town. The comic starts on Coney Island at night where a ghost is wandering around the park, either way, it’s a sign for the Ghostbusters to take them down. While the others are doing their dirty work, they brought up 3 students on their training to become professional Ghostbusters. But what lies in the real world, when these students learn the truth?

In my reflections, I have never seen Ghostbusters movie, even though it seemed to be a cheesy movie from the 80s. But when I read the comic, the whole team became more active and working to purge the ghosts and train new recruiters to become professional Ghostbusters. The actual Ghostbusters are fighting supernatural beings with high-tech nuclear weapons for money, however, the whole reason that the ghosts are appearing in New York out of nowhere is that they came from another dimension to make a havoc around the city. I imagine much as what I’m seeing and reading this comic, but it’s amazing, though. The story and the art are solid, even though I realize how the writing goes with the actual Ghostbusters movie, but it would be an amazing journey for the new recruiters to hunt down these demons and save the city.
