Legendary New 52 Batman writer/artist team that consists of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo reunite to finally cap off their run on Batman.

Snyder and Capullo have been setting up the final chapter on their entire run on Batman by including the entire DC Universe, and it starts off with a bang. The Cast is set and the paths forged have finally lead the DC Universe towards a darker, more sinister threat that it has never faced before.

The Justice League are now stuck within the confines Mongul’s new War World, fashioned with armor that prevents them from using their armor. How did the Justice league get stuck in a situation such as this? Who caused it? Whats Batman’s connection to these chains of events? And can the Justice league make it out of the new War World alive?

After his tenure on his critically acclaimed Batman run,  Scott Snyder went on to write All Star Batman to write the kind of stories that he was unable to include within his previous Batman run. Now that Snyder and Capullo have reunited on this book it feels like they never left. And reunion for event such as this that is a great thing!

In terms of the plot and set up, Snyder starts the book off with a bang, pulling the viewer’s interests and reminding readers why his time on Batman during the New 52 that made that book fun and interesting to read. His Batman is self-assured, strategic, confident, obsessive and strong. The most interesting part of this issue is Snyder’s handling of the DC Universe. This is the first time Snyder is utilizing characters beyond Just Batman and the Justice League. Snyder makes good use of character interactions making some.pretty memorable moments that cannot be spoiled, only read.

I cannot confess any more than I’d like to…to see Greg Capullo’s art work again, drawing Batman again, along with the DC Universe is just a joyous thing to see again! Capullo is a master with Graphic Narrative. Cinematically executing the scenes co directed by Snyder like second nature. The moment the Justice League are shown in armor, fighting for their lives on new War World, to just standing and talking, Capullo makes every illustrated scene lively.  Although, Capullo aside, the inks by Glapion and the colors by Plascencia all accompany each other so well that it makes the comic feel like a live action blockbuster.

Compared to other comic book websites that tend to spoil things for you, the viewer, I suggest (especially if you don’t like spoilers) to pick this book up. Whether you’re a big Batman fan, a huge comic book fan, a huge Snyder and Capullo fan, or a DC Comics fan, you should definitely pick this book up. So far, this is the first major DC Universe event since DC Rebirth. While Justice League Vs Suicide Squad is the first crossover event, this title is the first DC Universe event. It is also most definitely a huge Batman event that’s definitely gonna change the game not just for Batman, but possibly for the DC Universe as a whole. So go out there to your local comic shop, or get it digitally from Comixology and read it yourself. I guarantee you’ll enjoy what you’ll find.
