Batgirl and Robin continue the hunt for the Red Queen and uncover a few surprises on the way.
The issue completes a full circle both beginning and ending with the duo busting into a criminal den albeit years apart and with higher stakes in the final den. This issue plays a little on the insecurities that Batgirl has that she isn’t good enough to fight crime, she feels played more than once with what they find out. She has nothing to feel insecure about however as it is her quick thinking that neutralizes an outbreak of the drug that the mad hatter has developed.
Some pretty cool little twists and turns in the story, the way the hackers quickly switched from badass to helpless was just comical and the visit to the recovery center was brilliantly done but definitely topped by the final panel! Can’t wait for the next issue to see if they cope or of Batgirls fears are correct although I highly doubt it.
