Wow! 8 superb short stories that are like little horror versions of the What If? series Marvel did.

I was a little surprised at just how cool these stories were, they are the classic horror tales told via the classic Dc Heroes.  My favourite has to be the Jekyll and Hydian twist to the Batman story in Last Laugh it was just so dark and realistic which makes it a perfectly reasonable version of the Dark Knight.

Supermans tale shows us how lucky earth was that the creature that fell from the sky was a good guy and could quite have easily been something else while the big scary creature loses in Unmasked shows us not all threats are as obvious as we think and was genuinely brilliantly written.

Stray Arrow and Mans world had some really nice twists to them as well which I did not see coming while Harleys story was exactly what you would expect (and want) from a poltergeist Harley and rounded off with the Possession of Billy Batson which again shows us how just a little tweak can totally change the outcome of an origin tale.

All in all 8 fantastic stories that arrive just in time for Halloween and are the perfect read to get you in the scary mood
