The 4th chapter of The Super Sons of Tomorrow arc kicks off as Robin (Damian ) prepares to do whatever it takes to safeguard his friend Jon not only from the Titans of Tomorrow but also against his fellow teammates: The Teen Titans!!! But that’s not all, future Tim Drake AKA Savior continues his pursuit to terminate Jon AKA Superboy to save the future.

Can Jon and Damian prevent the future from occurring? Will Savior achieve his mission to save the future? Or will all be lost in time… Forever?

Tomasi and Gleason have written a strong installment in the Super Sons of Tomorrow arc, tying in all of the key players of this arc into this issue. Characters and plot mesh well and helped the story progress in a natural manner. There are some great moments between Damian (Robin) and Jon (Superboy) since these characters have had plenty of adventures. Readers that have been following their adventures since the pages of this title along with the Super Sons title that spun off from it. I think the most interesting part is seeing the future Titans of Tomorrow behaving in a certain manner that felt much different than the original story that Geoff Johns had crafted a decade ago. There are other elements in this story that will definitely surprise readers in regards to the central character of this storyline that will definitely have readers talking.

Davila’s artwork is lively and kinetic in all the right ways. Characters feel as though they could leap across the page. There are some pages that look fantastic especially when all the characters on the same page or panel. Vincent Cifuentes inks mesh well with Davila’s artwork giving it as much power as accompanied colors by Gabe Eltaeb.

This is a great installment of the Super Sons of Tomorrow arc. This Will leave readers wondering where this will leave Jon, Superman, Teen Titans, The Bat Family and the rest of the DC universe. Will this factor into the current Doomsday Clock event as well? You’ll have to find out when Superman #38 releases Wednesday.
