IDW’s Walt Disney’s Showcase #1 features Donald and his cousin Fethry, in original tales never before seen in the US.

This issue reprints two stories from Italy, one from 2004 and another from 2014, newly translated. Editor is Joe Hughes.

The first, Bad News Bruise Cruise, offers lots of amusement as the two cousins are put to work on Uncle Scrooge’s commercial yacht. The catch? They are the ONLY crew, responsible for entertainment of the paying guests, plus all the other duties of a crew. Oh, sure, there IS a captain, but he falls asleep at a moment’s notice. How will things go for our two friends?

The other tale, Dissin’ Cousins, also stars Gladstone Gander and has to do with an unwanted vase. How exactly do you dispose of a gift you no longer want? Easier said than done!

Looking for fun reading time with your little ones? This comic is just the ticket!

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
