Ok, this issue threw a few things on their head for me but the main one is Abel’s Dad!
The first issue was pretty clear, he’s a bad guy I mean he treated Abel like crap and then turned into a massive tornado monster, classic villain behaviour! But this issue I have to admit I feel for the guy a little. He seemed genuinely concerned for Abel and the doctor’s diagnosis sounds like he is maybe going through some stuff and then going to loom for Abel made me see him in a new light unless of course, he’s tracking him down to finish him off or something! I love how conflicted I feel about him.
I love the artwork in this issue, the troll looks absolutely incredible while is an intricate system of ropes look almost as if they actually exist and work! I can’t wait to see the carnival come alive next issue I can already tell it’s going to be incredible. The story becomes more fascinating with every issue I love how wind monsters and talking foxes are just the norm and not even really mentioned in a way that would suggest anyone is even remotely surprised by it I genuinely can not wait to delve deeper into this world!
