Thirteens visit to Pleasure Island isn’t exactly as pleasurable as you would have hoped.
The savages of The Sunken Lands were maybe the stuff of scary stories past down but in reality, the patrons of Pleasure Island are the ones you have to watch out for. Thirteen finds herself on another reluctantly heroic mission as she saves Minnow from a child slavery ring with even more sinister undertones inferred. The Room while obviously grotesque isn’t all that bad once Thirteen has done them a favour and highlighted, then fixed for them, issues in their realm and offer them a straight ride to High Level.
I love the artwork especially Pleasure Island the patrons of the clubs are suitably seedy and grotty for extreme sex tourists and the whole place looks and feels exactly how you would imagine it to be (If u were in the habit of imagining futuristic brothel islands) and of course it has a direct link to high level so that the rich folks can still get their kink on!
What are the chances that this final journey is going to be plain sailing? A train straight to High Level just sounds too good to be true and there has to be a catch somewhere along the way and it will be interesting what shape it takes and how the duo react to it
