Robot Chicken Lives On!

February 20th, 2005 Robot Chicken premiered with skits like Optimus Prime’s Medical Scare.  With its popularity and the help of YouTube the co-creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich bring back their stop animation creation for a tenth season on Adult Swim. Beware spoilers ahead!

Episode one opens up with a robot nerd telling how he lived after his big jump across the grand canyon.  Followed up by Mr. Roborogers Neighborhood. Tamagotchi, Popeye joins the modern-day, and we can’t forget Shredder destroying the TMNT with straws lol.

Episode two starts of with a jab at Willy Wonka Larry H Loompa will fight for you.  You have Triads, Chuckie Cheese, Pooh, Queer eyes take on Ursula’s fashion, and diets not forget Comedians in cars starring Jerry Seinfeld with special guest The Joker. They also take jabs at politics with a Rocky and Bullwinkle skit, followed by a Fortnite substitute bus driver.

Last but not least  Episode three opens with April O’Neill interviewing President Trump who is being accused of conspiring with Shredder to steal all the pizzas in New York. The opening is played in as an episode of Saturday Night Live. Star wars opening with young Han Solo. But are you Fast and Furious Hobbs on Zambonis, Beauty and the Beast, President Curt Cameron, an homage to Indiana Jones, Transformers meets Uber, Rockos Modern Life, Fixer Upper Pee Wees Playhouse gets a makeover, and Alien Covenant round out episode three.

The political satire, mixed within with some dark comedy makes for a pretty awesome show. There’s a reason Robot Chicken is still going strong it is well written, I found myself chuckling a few times to some of the jokes. Season 10 premiers September 29th at midnight on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Here’s to another 10 seasons Robot Chicken.

Many thanks to Adult Swim for allowing us to get an advanced look!
