POPCORN! Is that your favorite? Mine too. Because they pop! Pop, pop! Pop, pop! Pop, pop, pop!

The History. I have always been a fan of Stephen King’s stories. It was no exception to this. The story 22nd novel by Stephen King began as an idea in 1978 and was published in 1986. The story follows 7 kids who are terrorized by an entity who feeds off fear in Derry Maine. Although it was later released on television in 1990 it found itself on the remake list and was released as a movie in 2017 staring  Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise. Mezco added 2017’s version of  Pennywise the dancing clown to its growing number of horror characters already released to date.

The Break Down. Lenticular painting switches from flesh color to white ghost. The Ballon has a bendable string to change the effects the ballon also moves up and down in the hand for adjustments. The Four heads include the smiling clown, the evil clown, the razor teeth showing clown, and the open mouth with razor teeth clown.  The four sets of hands include a set of long greyed ripped gloved hands to go along with the razor teeth clown. Georgie’s paper boat is included and has the words, S.S. Georgie, on it. The severed arm shows bone and blood at the end of it.  Double-jointed elbows for better articulation. The base is black with red letters I T.

The Verdict. Another smash from Mezco. All the detail put into this character down to the fluffy red buttons on his cloth outfit only made it better. The Faces capture Bill Skarsgard’s Evil Rendition of Pennywise a role he was meant to play. Even the eyes screamed evil when looking at them.  The fact that you can read SS Georgie on the boat only shows how much effort goes into character detail. The lenticular( 3d) painting was a great add on. My only complaint? Maybe we can get a deluxe exclusive with the well and multiple ballons? Yes, I always want more. It’s selfish I know but hey a boy can dream can’t he? Don’t pass this one up horror fans because the fear of not finding him will only feed his hunger and he will terrorize you until he makes it to your collection.
