Today started with the triumphant return of the Garden State Comic Fest!

GSCF is going on at its usual location, the Mennen Sports Arena in Morris Township. It’s a nice spot for a comic con. Divided up into 2 areas, both filled with vendors, comic creators, and media guests. GSCF owner Dave O’Hare truly has the organization down to a “T”. The isles were a nice spacing so it was easy to get by. Dave and his staff really keep things flowing nicely. Bravo to them.

There were all kinds of vendors. From toys, to cosplay items, to some really unique handmade stuff. And plenty of comic vendors. Ouch on my wallet! But it’s worth it!

Now just because this is a local convention, doesn’t make it small. There were some big name comic creators there: Walk and Louise Simonson. Rick Leonardi. Ethan Van Sciver. Lee Weeks. Just to name a few.

And great media guests as well: Dan Fogler. George Newbern. Loren Lester.

Check out this quick highlight reel!

Garden State Comic Fest is also going on tomorrow, Sunday, June 25th, and tickets are still availble.

This is a show you really don’t want to miss!

An avid comic collector/reader for over 50 years and self-proclaimed professor of comicology, Brian originally started up the site Pendragon's Post to share his voice. Well, that voice has been shared and evolved into The Fanboy Factor. Brian is an advocate for remembering comic roots, and that we don't forget what was created in the past, and encourage everyone to read it as well. When not swimming in geek culture, he can be seen corrupting..introducing his young son to comics, much to his wife's chagrin.
