Danny is put to the test as his past catches up to him. Who is the man inside the house? What does he want with Danny? And what is it that Danny is so afraid of?

Kudranski has explored different parts of Danny as a character through his childhood to present. This time readers get to witness what has haunted Danny after all these years since the passing of his mother. Kudranski answers some questions about Danny’s quest, revealing that Danny’s path through the world of nightmares and imagination is one that has been traveled before, providing some surprises that readers will not expect. One of the best thing about this series is the exploration of creativity and how it informs creatives in the various mediums of storytelling and culture. Kudranski does a good job at streamlining these concepts within the story that is organic to the events that occur in Danny’s journey, enriching everything within the book.

Kudranski is constantly delivering some of the best-illustrated work of his career and is unlike anything that anyone is doing currently in comics at the moment. The fusion of different art styles, colors that embellish, and compositions that are meticulously illustrated within each page make this book a delight to read. DC Hopkins does a superb job lettering the book with different kinds of voices that match the various characters and creatures that Danny encounters, distinguishing fantasy and reality through it. This continues to be a visually stimulating and thoughtfully written series about creativity through an ambitious epic that surprises readers with each issue. Add this to your pull list for New Comic Book Day.
