All good things must come to an end, but for Lucas Stand and end seems to always lead to a new beginning.

Over the past 5 issues, Lucas has fought Nazis, Cowboys, the Viet Cong and more but now in the final issue of the run he finds himself up against….no-one. He wakes up in some sort of Indianesque reservation clearly in a time much later than his original era but situated in his old town (reclaimed by nature obvs). He settles in well after his initial concerns and soon finds himself finding some peace if not actual happiness. This doesn’t last though as history quite literally catches up with him.

Once Lucas puts his glasses back on reality hits and his wife-to-be reveals her true nature, unfortunately at the moment that they are ‘sharing a bed’. He sets off to fix everything and end what was started.

Lucas is a Badass, a hero but with serious flaws, I think Kurt Sutter is amazing at writing these kinds of characters and think there could be a lot more to come from him. The issue ends in such a way that it could be continued, maybe following Lucas around on his travels much like American Vampire did. I hope it does as its a really good comic and would be a shame if it was left at just 6 issues.
