The past creeps its way back into the present in the second installment of the Spyral arc.

Nightwing and Huntress have caught the attention of the dangerous organization Spyral. Locked in their sights, the agents of Spyral go for the kill with one goal in mind.. to kill Nightwing and Huntress. What deadly secrets will Nightwing and Huntress uncover about the former organization that employed them in the past? What does Agent 1 want with Nightwing and what will Nightwing discover that will threaten all that he holds dearly?

Tim Seeley is making use of Nightwing’s rogue’s gallery and history that helps make his side of the world just as cohesive as the Dark Knight’s corner. Although, despite the good use of such characters, Seeley provides good character moments between Nightwing, Huntress and other characters. Seeley thankfully doesn’t let the Spyral arc drag in its second chapter, and fortunately for the readers, the plot is balanced out and doesn’t drag, making for an entertaining issue.

Javier Fernandez’s art is in top form stylistically along with the beautifully, carefully placed lighting and color work by Chris Sotomayor. There isn’t anything that could be said without giving away key elements that occur within this issue. It’s really solid work from the team of Seeley, Fernandez, Sotomayor and company, and is definitely worth picking up.
